Missing Food at EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
Imagine this… you get your reservation for EPCOT at Disney, enter the park, smell all the heavenly food, walk up to the stand, and then you see…COMING SOON! What, what? The stand has the curtains still pulled down and no Cast Members in sight.
Disney is definitely holding out on the goods. This is exactly what happened to me on my trip to EPCOT.
You can pick up a festival passport as soon as you enter the park and see all the delicious looking foods that you can sample from each stand. The passport is complete with oh so yummy looking pictures of menu items.
But you can check out my Top 3 Foods at EPCOT Food and Wine Festival post to find out what you can have until then!
My heart sank when I came across the first stand and saw the coming soon sign. So I’m here to let you know what you can and can’t have (until October 1st) at EPCOT Food and Wine festival.
Future Stands
There are a total of NINE stands that you are going to have to hold out for to truly have a complete experience at the festival. Why? Well I know that Disney is holding out for a lot of things until October 1st.
Disney 50th anniversary celebration starts on October 1st and they are rewarding all those lucky visitors with all the goods, and all the food stands being functional. Sigh.
So where can’t you get food from at EPCOT?
- Ireland
- Brazil
- Belgium
- Spain
- The Alps
- Kenya
- India
- Lobster Landing
- Mac & Eats
Future Food
Yes there is so much goodness that we are going to have to have patience for! So you may be wondering what wonderful food you may be able to get once these stands open, right? Here’s a few that might make the wait worthwhile:
- Cowboy Mac & Cheese (Mac & Cheese with smoked pork belly, brisket burnt ends, pickled peppers, and onion straws)
- New England Lobster Tail with lobster bisque sauce
- Korma Chicken (served with Basmati rice, crispy chickpeas, and spiced yogurt sauce)
- Kenyan Coffee and Barbecue Beef Tenderloin (served with sweet potato and corn mealie pap and Kachumbari slaw
- Blueberry and Almond Frangipane Tart with Creme Fraiche
- Spanish-style Paella (served with rice, Chorizo, and shrimp)
- Beer-braised Beef (served with smoked Gouda mashed potatoes)
There is so much more I could list! Did I also mention wine flights? Yes, some of these stands will also be selling wine flights (which I will be buying) and various other adult delicacies.
So keep in mind that ALL the yummy goodness EPCOT has to offer will not be FULLY available to you until the big 50th bash begins on October 1st!
